Buddy

Buddy

After an injury that kept our Buddy from exercising, coupled with overfeeding due to dog food companies with vague/misleading feeding guidelines, our 7-year-old pitbull/shepherd mix ballooned to 120lbs. We were told that if we didn’t turn it around, we would lose our boy well before we should. I had started to see ads for The Farmers Dog and asked our chiro vet her thoughts. She endorsed the concept wholeheartedly … and I didn’t waste any time going to TFD’s website to sign up Buddy.

As the weight came off, we were beyond thrilled with his progress. (He would lose 30 lbs from August 2023-August 2024.) But even though things were moving in the right direction, this dog, prone to hip dysplasia because of his breed and the strain on his knees due to the excess weight, still struggled with weakness and mobility of his back legs. It was painful for him to switch positions from sitting to standing and the reverse. There was stiffness and soreness that we could physically see, and we were leery that the excess weight had taken a toll that he couldn’t recover from.

We tried a couple of different things on the market that promised great things for dogs with similar issues, but they didn’t deliver. At least not for Buddy. Again, our chiro vet came to the rescue. She recommended Dr. Baker’s System Saver, and I ordered the first bottle in March 2024 (halfway through Buddy’s weight loss journey).

It has been a year now … and the difference is striking. The stiffness is gone. The mobility is greatly improved. He is a happier dog and wants to be on the go. Because of System Saver, I have more confidence in letting him run around and be active, knowing that he won’t be lame for days to follow. He still receives monthly chiro adjustments; however, they are quick and easy compared to ones in the past. The extra therapy treatments and methods are a thing of the past.

I said this about The Farmer’s Dog and I reiterate it wholeheartedly for Dr. Baker’s System Saver: thank you for everything you do for the love of dogs. Especially mine.
